The Winery

As one of the largest wineries in the region, since 1993, Pagos de Obanos has been making wines with a great character, that are strongly rooted in the wine-making tradition of the Zona Media (Central Area) of Navarra.

Our history

Three decades of wine-making history of Navarra

Pagos de Obanos was incorporated as a cooperative in 1993, which is a long-established business model in Navarra. It was founded by the wine-grower associates of the Sociedad Cooperativa Orvalaiz cooperative society, the largest grain cooperative in the region and with a long history in the valleys close to Pamplona.
It continues to be one of the leading wineries in central Navarra and has now become one of the main pillars of the Vitilia Group.

High production capacity

With its cutting-edge facilities, the Winery has the capacity to make more than 3 million kilos.
Equipped with thirty-six 50,000 litre self-emptying tanks, all fitted with cooling sleeves and automatically controlled, the Winery is able to make Reds, Rosés and Whites from its estate-grown grapes and from those grown by farmers with a long-established partnership with Pagos de Obanos.
The Winery is complemented with storage tanks and other tanks for the cold stabilisation of our wines, to reach a total capacity of 4 million.

Much more than a Winery

Our facilities are completed with a well-equipped laboratory, a Museum area and Function and Tasting rooms.

All our wines are on sale at our Shop, which is just 10 minutes away from Pamplona and is open all week. To get there, take exit 18 of the Autovía del Camino de Santiago (expressway). In turn, the shop leads to the Wine Museum and to our Barrel Room, which has disabled-friendly access and admission is free of charge

Wine tourism

Pagos de Obanos also offers the possibility of customised guided tours, based on our visitors’ needs, as well as the organisation of events and meals in its spectacular Function Room.

Wine Museum

Adjoining our Shop, Pago de Obanos offers a Wine Museum that is 100% disabled-friendly. This museum is constantly being renewed and offers visitors the chance to see a video on the Vitilia Group, a variety of centuries-old farming tools, as well as other curiosities and information panels on the life cycle of the grape and the History of the Winery.
